History Of The Air Guitar World Championships
The first Air Guitar World Championships were arranged in Oulu in 1996. In a decade, the competition has expanded into an international network of national championships. Besides Air Guitar players, a large group of media people and Air Guitar travellers are flown to Oulu every year. The event that started out as an absurd idea attracts and interests people all around the world.
